Pangolins and bats are the only known mammals to be infected with SARS-CoV-2 related coronaviruses, and pangolins may be an intermediate host in the spread of the virus.

Posted on 29 April, 2020 A recent collaborative study from the USA, UK and France has identified the proteins on human host cells that interact with the SARS-CoV-2 virus on infection. Among these proteins, researchers have identified the human proteins that are already targeted by existing drugs or compounds and can therefore be tested as antiviral therapeutics.
